Lemon was pulled from the bay in Limsa Lominsa shortly after Dalamud had fallen, with no memories of her own to speak of and no one who knew her. She was taken in by an old retired marauder and his husband and, by extension, the Marauder's Guild itself. During this time, her Echo was disgustingly active, working around the clock to replace her lost knowledge of the world. She knows an incredible amount of knowledge, she just had no way to contextualize it. She takes up adventuring to help give context to all the things she has been shown by the Echo.ARR:
Lemon meets and bonds with Y'shtola extremely quickly as they both find interest in each other. Lemon provides Y'shtola with a different perspective than what most people can usually give her about her theories. Likewise, Y'shtola provides a willing ear to listen to her questions and give explanations to what Lemon has seen via the Echo but does not understand. After joining the Scions, she's introduced to so many places and things and falls uncontrollably in love with the world and those she meets. While she learns of heartbreak and loss, she also learns that she wants to fight to protect those she loves as well.HW: After the loss of her beloved friends and nearly everyone she knows post the Bloody Banquet, Lemon is heartbroken and lost with her place in the world, but slowly and surely, she finds new hope and determination in defending her new home in Ishgard.SB: Lemon finds her match in Zenos, and it shakes her worldview, she questions if she truly has a purpose in protecting her loved ones via fighting or if she is no better than Zenos, fighting for the thrill of it all.ShB: Truly comes into her own in her purpose and where her heart wants to be, only to have it nearly ripped away by becoming a light warden, her scales maintain an eerie iridescence even after her soul is healed and the light is released.EW: (To be continued...)

Kai Harkin

Likes: Sleeping, eating odd foods, reading, history.Dislikes: Those who attack / take advantage of those weaker than them, long to-do lists, clothes shopping.Pre ARR: From a migrant family of leatherworkers, Kai's parents were able to apply the skills they learned as hunters and alleged poachers from the Black Shroud to work as traders and artisans earning them a stable home in Ul'dah. As a kid he befriended another misfit in in the Ul'dahn landscape, a viera named Elly; the two made fast friends and were inseparable. Their friendship lead to a roughhousing incident where Kai fell and cut his face open on the rubble, Elly tried to heal him but in her inexperience as a healer...overdid it. His face healed with a thin scar remaining on his cheek, but the lasting effects would be seen when he hit his growth spurt, and he ended up at a towering 8 fulms tall.ARR: Kai gets recruited to the scions along with his companions for his skill in reconnaissance alongside his comrades that had skill in the Echo. Kai earns his place and holds his own in the fight against the empire. Kai eventually becomes separated from everyone during the events of the Bloody Banquet trying to inform his family of the events that had transpired, leaving him to traverse through the Black Shroud to make his way to Coerthas, arriving in Ishgard late.HW: Spends the majority of his time purely supporting his WoL comrades, his history in espionage coming in handier than ever with the loss of Thancred and the other scions in helping Tataru and Alphinaud keep informed about what is happening outside of Ishgard. Also spends a good chunk of time avoiding Aymeric purely because the Lord Commander correctly clocked him as on the same tactical level as himself and Alphinaud but Kai does not want to do the work that comes with that skill in a nation at war.SB: Kai spends a lot of time in Stormblood, frustrated and despondent about feeling less capable than his friends who have the Echo, and spends most of the expansion contemplating his place, much like Lyse. Until facing Lakshmi, he throws himself in front of the twins to prevent them from being tempered, assuming he himself will be the one tempered in their stead. Only to find out he does possess the Echo protecting himself and the twins from tempering. With a new sense of purpose and mild regrets about assigning himself a new job as primal slayer, he rises to stand beside his comrades.ShB: Was called to the First along with the other Scions and spent 3 years there before the WoL joined them there. In the elapsed time he worked at the Crystarium as a bounty hunter and kept communication flowing between the separate Scions.
During the events of ShB Kai and Thancred are at odds, Kai doesn't approve of how Thancred treats "Minfillia" but doesn't feel that it's his place to push it farther than voicing his disapproval and supporting the young girl however he can.
Despite him learning to tune into the echo more with the Oracle of Light's assistance he still struggles to take on his new title of Warrior of Light next to Lemon. Comes into his confidence in his time alone but as things get revealed by Emet-Selch about the history of the star and the sundering he has more questions than answers.EW: (To be continued...)
